Client Money Protection for Landlors and Tenants: CMP is a government approved scheme for Letting and Property Management agents and is underwritten by A-rated insurers Hiscox. The UKALA total loss CMP scheme is open to all property agents and professionals who can become members via the straightforward application process. The UK Association of Letting Agents (UKALA) is a professional membership body which supports its agent members to comply with the ever-changing regulatory environment.

Property Redress Scheme

Property Redress Scheme: Property Redress Scheme is approved by Government under the Alternative Dispute Resolution for Consumer Disputes (Competent Authorities and Information) Regulations 2015. The PRS is UKALA’s appointed redress scheme for its agent members. If you are using an agent who is a UKALA member please contact them before raising a complaint with us to check the PRS are the agent’s redress scheme of choice.

The Property Ombudsmanscheme

TPO: The Property Ombudsman (TPO) scheme has been providing consumers and property agents with an alternative dispute resolution service since 1990. TPO is a government approved scheme to provide independent redress in relation to disputes between consumers and property agents. TPO is approved by the Chartered Trading Standards Institute under the ADR Regulations 2015.
